This image (adapted from a 1930s postcard) shows the locations of the ten major escapes attempted during the Warden Johnston years. Note that the following changes to this scene took place between 1934 and 1941: the laundry building (located behind the Model Industries where four of the escapes began and ended) was demolished as was the Quarry Dock.
