Photo Blog Comments

Posted on February 9, 2006 in Photos

square152I poked in the Coppermine documentation and discovered that only users can post comments. At first I was fearful. Users could upload files. Oh joy. But then I discovered that I could make things so that each album didn’t take new uploads. That was the default. So I enabled user registrations.

The registration button is in the upper left hand corner, between the Home and the Login buttons.

You will need to give your email, choose a password, and invent a user name. Optional information includes interests, website, occupation, and a brief biography. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration.

Once that is done, you can enter comments which appear below the photos.

In other news, I have added a location field to the photos. All the photos I have entered so far have appeared in my former WordPress run photo blog. When this is done, I will scan a few photos from old collections and begin to take new ones.

Oh, do check out the series of pictures from Mount Rainier National Park. I took them one July day when there was still snow on the ground and this beautiful reflecting pool was half frozen over.
