1-29-42 This afternoon I noticed that this inmate appeared to be in somewhat of a stupor and was unsteady on his feet. Although I did not actually see him drinking, there is no doubt in my mind that he was under the influence of some concoction of an inebrious nature. Report by S.P. Ozaklewitz, Sr. Officer. 3-29-42 While working in the kitchen this P.M., this man was acting in an unnatural condition, apparently under influence of some home-made concoction. Report by C.B. Stewart, Jr. Officer. ACTION: This man seemed to be under influence of some kind of brew. Admitted that he had made and drank some kind of mixture but stated he was not under the weather or even drunk. Would not say what he had made the mixture out of--just talked wildly. Placed in solitary, restricted diet; examined by Dr. Patterson and found to have drank some kind of brew, but alright to be disciplined.
